Cormo Sheep & Wool Farm

What Customers Have to Say

It is difficult to buy a fleece through the mail especially if you have not dealt with the producer before.  For this reason I have included these quotes form some of my customers.  I didn't know any of them before they contacted me through my web site, eBay auction or Spin-Off ad and purchased one or more fleeces.  All of them have said that they would be willing to "talk" (email) other spinners who are considering a fleece purchase.  Please email me if you would like to be contacted and I will give them your email address and they will contact you.

It's safe to say that V. and I are THRILLED with Kai! In fact, here's a picture V. took of me laying on Kai's rolled out fleece to show just how big he is!

Rest assured Kai is in good hands!  :)  --E. B., MD

I want to tell you that I washed up the <hogget> fleece of K920.  It will definitely be combed.  Long and lustrous for a Cormo and soft.  I cannot wait...  I hope that some of my friends contacted you regarding fleece.  I always try to get your name out there since I think so highly of your fleeces. ...  Friends have referred to another sheep breeder's fleece as from sheep that live in a living room and are spoon fed.  I think that your fleeces definitely compare. -- C. L.,  PA

This was my first year to buy anything from your farm. I was pleased with your quick response. The fleece has come back from being processed (Ohio Valley) and I am pleased with the results. The way I found out about your fleece and address was from one of our new spinning guild members who was carding her fleece at a meeting. It felt wonderful and I emailed you as soon as she sent me the address. I plan to keep you in mind when I need fleece again. ... I have been very satisfied with my fleece of Cormo and Cormo/Ramb. I want the world to know, especially spinners! -- E. M. W., TN

... I got the fleece while I was off and it was wonderful. So many that I have received that were supposed to be in good condition and well skirted are not. Thank-you for your honesty!!!!  ... After getting a few "dirty fleeces" on e-bay, I am more than willing to point others in the right direction. I still have some fleeces that I don't even want to contemplate, I can really describe "dirty". Your fleeces are great. I think it is wonderful to find a fleece that is just as or better than described, which I think yours are. -- L. G., WI

... I would be more than happy to be used as a reference for your doubtful customers.  Cormo is a great breed and you do a wonderful job raising them, and preparing the fleece for handspinners. -- C. B., NE

I got one of your hogget colored fleeces ...  It is absolutely wonderful-long stapled, richly colored and easy to spin. ...  My goal is to get both it and Kathy's fleece done this year so I can BUY MORE!!!!  My only comment....it's not really dirty compared to other fleeces I've seen from ebay...now those are awful. I tend to speak my mind and I have been very delighted with all three of my purchases from you.  I've done it all with the wool too:  dyed it, flicked it, carded and combed it, made two plys and Navaho plys, spun on both wheel and spindle and.....the wool is great.  Did you
know it gets quite lusterous with dying?  Very silky looking. --  L. M., WA

A Bargain Fleece
I don't think I gave you any feedback from a fleece I purchased from you via EBAY a while back.  It was a delightful deal as it was a 'bargain' fleece, based on a weak spot in the staple.  When I received the fleece I found that I had to work fairly hard to find the weak spot.  I bought the fleece because the staple length was fairly long and you stated the break would leave a decent staple, etc.  and I was planning to comb the fleece for spinning which I thought would take care of any break and shorter fibers. ... I've sampled the fleece and found the 'weak' spot to be relatively negligible.  The samples that I've spun were just delightful.  The fleece was clean and orderly ...  In short, I thought it was delightful and would recommend you to anyone who inquired.  I think you're doing a beautiful job with your fleeces based on the 'problem' fleece that I have. -- T.P., NC

Fleeces covered for 6 months:

Aaaahhhh...this stuff is fabulous! And I LIKE the way it smells, even though everybody else went "Ugh!". It <Cormo/Rambo> washes up much whiter and is great! Hardly any VM in it. I must say, I think you got cheated...grin  <11/14/00> Hi Sue! I'm still working on the fleece I got from you last year, and I'm still pleased as punch! You can use my testimonial if you want to: "This is GREAT fleece, and your satisfaction is GUARANTEED. --  A. J., TN

1/13/00  I just wanted to let you know that I received the fleece today.  It looks absolutely wonderful!  I have about 1/3 of the fleece soaking right now.  I can't wait to spin this fleece!

1/14/00  I have to tell you, I think I'm in love with this fleece! This is my first Cormo fleece and it's just wonderful!  I think this is going to become my new favorite wool!

11/15/00  If anyone wants to hear from me about Cormo wool, I would be glad to help.  Your wool is wonderful and it is so soft and fluffy that when you spin it, the resulting yarn is so soft it almost feels like cotton!  I like this wool so much that I'm trying to justify buying more! Your wool is so clean and even when the sheep has only been jacketed for 6 months the wool is clean.  I believe that Kitty's fleece was only covered for 6 months and I was really pleased with that fleece. -- L. C., WI
